May 2010. Went to see Iron Man 2 (Jon Favreau, 2010). Actor Jon Favreau tried to make this a bit different from Iron Man 1. I guess I should have been pleased: they got Scarlett Johansson to play Natasha Romanoff / The Black Widow; Robert Downey delivers the goods; Gwyneth Paltrow is suitably irritating. But Mickey Rourke is simply ridiculous as Ivan Vanko / Blacklash (not everyone can do Camp). And even if I tried to forget decades of Iron-Man-comic-book-reading, there's something that doesn't click. The armour is still great, though.
